There’s a famous passage at the end of Zephaniah where, in contrast to all the judging and condemnation, Zephaniah drops a beautiful description of God’s heart toward Israel through a song. Most biblical imagery I’ve see that has to do with music or singing usually involves harps or lyres (aren’t those the same thing?). I’d like to think that if Jesus came back today, he’d sling up a six string and rock out.
